Ellie's Friends has merged with Maggie's, to provide the best possible support to adults living with cancer in the UK.

Maggie’s provides free practical and emotional support to people with cancer and their family and friends. Built in the grounds of NHS cancer hospitals, Maggie’s Centres are places with professional staff on hand to offer the support people need. Ellie's Friends provide free gifts from businesses and individuals, to offset some of the financial and psychological impact of a cancer diagnosis. We believe that together we can do more.

What does this mean for our users and supporters?

The Ellie’s Friends website will continue to function as usual into 2018 until we can fully integrate our services with Maggie’s. We will communicate any changes, and we will be reaching more adults in need of support.

Founder Tom Thostrup says: "I’m delighted that Ellie’s Friends has merged with Maggie’s, as we will be able to reach and help even more people living with cancer around the UK. We’ve had close ties ever since Ellie and I used to visit Maggie’s West London branch after her appointments at Charing Cross Hospital so it feels like a very natural connection."
